How To Be Successful at FlashBanc

There’s no one-size-fits-all plan for achieving success at FlashBanc; everyone is unique and must forge their own path to success. However, throughout my time as National Sales Director, I’ve observed a few common habits among highly successful FlashBanc Sales Agents and I’d like to share them with you today.

Create a Productive Morning Routine

I can’t overstate the importance of having an effective morning routine in this industry. While that routine looks different for everyone, here are a few commonalities I’ve observed among the top sales professionals in our organization:

  • Getting up bright and early is an excellent way to start your morning on a positive note. This is going to give you time to sort out your thoughts and create a concrete plan for what you’re going to accomplish that day.
  • You can jot down your schedule in a daily planner, journal, calendar, or app, like Todoist. Having everything written down and planned out will help you focus on what needs to be accomplished.
  • Once you’ve planned out your schedule, try doing something to get you in the right mindset for having a productive day. Going for a run, hitting the gym, taking your dog for a walk, journaling, meditating, or reading a chapter of a book can really help clear your mind and get you ready to start selling.

Set Daily Goals… and Surpass Them

In addition to planning out your schedule for the day, it’s important to map out your daily goals so that you have something to work towards. For instance, you can set a goal of contacting a certain number of prospects that day. If you’ve already accomplished your goal for the day by lunchtime, blow right through that glass ceiling and keep going. But first, pat yourself on the back for reaching your goal so early in the day! Setting, meeting, and surpassing your goals will do wonders to boost your self-confidence.

Leave Work at the Door

A career in sales can be a rollercoaster sometimes, so it’s important to leave work at the door as soon as you get home. If you’ve had a bad day, don’t harp on everything that went wrong or how you’re going to fix it tomorrow. Kick off your shoes, get in some comfy clothes, and enjoy your free time with the people that mean the most to you. Stressing about your day won’t help anything, and you need to rest and recharge in order to accomplish your goals tomorrow. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is crucial to ensuring your success in any career path.

Understand That Accounts Aren’t Forever

It would be wonderful if every new client became your client for life, but unfortunately, that’s not how it works in many cases. Companies go out of business, develop different payment needs, get lowball offers from other payment providers, or just have a change of heart. This is all completely normal and while it might mean that you lose a client, it’s important to remember that there are new potential clients on every street corner. It’s hard not to dwell on the loss of a client, but the best way to combat this feeling of disappointment is to go out and land a new account. There are millions of businesses in this country and many of them are in need of payment solutions.

Keep an Open Line of Communication with Clients

I saved the most important tip for last: Make sure that your clients know that you’re only a text, email, or phone call away. Knowing that you’re easy to reach and available to help will foster that sense of trust that you’ve worked hard to establish since the first day you met your client. That being said, this doesn’t mean that you need to work 24/7 and constantly be available for a phone call. If your client reaches out with a non-urgent question or request, sending them a quick text letting them know that you’ll work on getting them an answer or solution first thing in the morning will help tide them over until you can dedicate your full attention to them. On the other hand, if they reach out to you with an urgent request and you’re not able to assist at that very moment (example: it’s your wedding day!), let them know that another member of the FlashBanc team will be happy to assist them. Maintaining an open line of communication with your clients is essential to keeping them satisfied and confident in their business relationship with you.
