Day in the Life of an Agent

Every day as a FlashBanc Sales Associate means a new set of adventures, and opportunities for personal growth. From the moment you wake-up to the moment you fall asleep, your day is yours. Although everyone’s day will be different, we wanted to detail what a day in the life of a Sales Associate might look like. Keep reading to find out!

Your Morning Routine

In the morning, your alarm goes off at 8:00 a.m. Want to hit the snooze button a few times? No big deal! You’re the boss and there’s no specific time you need to start working today. When you finally roll out of bed, you jump on the treadmill for a quick workout. They say it’s survival of the fittest for a reason! If you want to outwork your competition, you’ve got to be in tip-top shape. After that, you’ll do your typical morning routine and maybe have a cup (or two) of hot java. While you’re sipping your coffee, you log into your MyFlashBanc account to check your sales numbers and download marketing materials you’ll need for your meetings this afternoon.

Sell, Sell, Sell

At around 8:30 a.m., you sit down in your home office and start making some calls to potential clients. You schedule two meetings for later in the week, and you update your calendar accordingly. After you’re finished, you head over to that new restaurant around the corner to do a walk-in prospecting session. You secure a meeting with the General Manager for tomorrow, so you update your calendar accordingly.

After that, you go to your first appointment of the day, and you instantly hit it off with the business owner, Sandy. She asks you for a merchant processing statement to compare your pricing with competitors, and says that if everything looks good, she’ll sign on the dotted line. You make a quick call to FlashBanc headquarters, and then they generate the statement and fax it to Sandy. A few minutes later, you get a call from Sandy and she says ‘you’ve got yourself a deal.’ Congratulations!

Prospects Are Everywhere

Once you’ve finished celebrating this new sale, you head over to one of your new clients to complete their terminal download. That’s over in a few minutes and now it’s time for lunch! You head down the street to eat at Slice of Heaven, that delicious pizza restaurant that just happens to be your client. You pay for your meal with your credit card, which means you earn some money in the process. After you finish lunch, you head back to your house and attend a live training conference call from your home office. Once your training is over, you check your emails and see that a potential client you contacted a few days ago has replied. They’re interested in speaking with you, so you schedule an appointment with them for Friday.

Next, you drive to your 3:30 p.m. appointment, all the while looking around for new prospects. You make note of a Chinese restaurant that just opened, and you set a reminder to call them tomorrow to introduce yourself. When you make it to your appointment, the prospect has a question about which payment hardware is best for his business needs. You pull that information off the top of your head thanks to the training conference call you attended earlier today! Your quick, well-informed answer helps land the sale, and you do a quick celebration before heading back to your house.

Networking and Ending Your Day

When you get home, you receive a text from your friend, another FlashBanc Sales Associate, who is interested in attending a local networking event. Sounds like a plan! You throw on a blazer and you’re off to meet some new friends and potential clients. One martini, two martini, some delicious hors d’oeuvres, and now it’s time to go home. You passed out some of your business cards to potential clients, so that will keep you busy tomorrow morning. But for now, it’s time to head home, kick off your shoes, and relax.

It’s been a successful day: you’ve landed a few new clients, identified a few prospects, learned some new things, and added some green to your bank account. There was no micro-managing boss breathing down your neck, and you were able to plan every aspect of your day. Be your own boss, control your own destiny, be a FlashBanc Sales Associate. This isn’t a 9 to 5, it’s a lifestyle.
